I did it!!!

The past 4 weeks were full of surprises. When I first heard about YoumeU in May and decided to sign up for the biggest music-contest in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, I had no idea what to expect. I never thought that the users and listeners would like my tracks that much.

When the first stage of the contest ended late at night on the 15.July 2008, I was that nervous that I shut down my internet shortly before midnite and dared to log onto YoumeU again no earlier that a quarter past 12. From the beginning the results were promising. All my songs had been among the top 10 the whole time. Not only was I voted into the Pop-Charts with “True life” but also my two other competing songs “Play my game” and “Pull me in” rotated in the Hip Hop-Charts. Actually I was the only contestant being represented in both categories at the same time.

The following days were just crazy, it really took me by surprise. Not only that I got tons of congrats from all supporters, almost more than I was able to handle. There was not even a possibility of holding back the
press. I did several interviews with newspapers and magazines every day and even a homestory about me was filmed for tv.

A special highlight was definitely the interview at Radio RST. Morning-show presenter Martin Weide gave me a warm welcome in the studio and he was so cool. I have to admit that I was pretty glad, they didn’t have a webcam in the studio. Due to my marginal body height I was almost unable to overlook the mixer-desk and also the headphones were at least one size too big for my tiny head, so that they were slipping off all the time lol Nevertheless I had a blast and hope that I will have many more appointments like that in the future.

I look forward to shooting the live-video I’ll be doing for the next stage of the contest. Particularly ‘cos Viva-moderator Collien Fernandez will be hosting the show. I’ll keep you guys updated. Lots to do until then…

Butthead of the month – Maybe you noticed that Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards got divorced. Now it was on to another hearing regarding the custody of their two children. Guess what: mud-wrestling! You can imagine the common wiggings. Absolutely ridiculous was that Denise wanted the press to be in court at all costs. Sorry, but that’s outrageous! Shame on both of you!

Self chuck of the month – Nope, not this time. First praise and then frame myself??? Forget it lol

Person of the month- I think this month I have to “award” myself with this one. I’ve been fighting many weeks to make it into the recall at YoumeU. Therefore I pocket this price myself this time. Complaints will not be taken ;-)
