December 2008

Cheers!

First of all I’d like to wish all of you a happy new year 2009! I really hope you had a fantastic x-mas and new years eve…

Isn’t it amazing, how fast 2008 went by? Of course a lot of things happened in my life and though time goes by faster than you imagine. New years eve held a great surprise for me. I actually ended up being the second most desirable celebrity in the world at the Singelringen Global SinglePower Celebrity Contest. If that ain’t a reason for a party.

I decided to celebrate new years with some of my best friends this time. With great food and a las of champain at midnight. We had a blast! We didn’t stay up all night too be honest. We all went to bed around 3 in the morning. So we were fit enough to enjoy the new-year-skijumping event in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Especially since Martin Schmitt did such a great job at the other events at the 4-hill it’s fun again to watch for us Germans, isn’t it? Even though my favourite Norwegians are already on their way back to Scandinavia for being real losers.

I am really happy for Martin. After all these years being written off and the dirty press that’s been thrown at him. He never gave up and now it’s his time to shine again and kick asses. He’s got all my respect, that’s for sure. What an amazing attitude.

For me personally the next weeks and months will be packed with work. Me and my team are chosing songs for my debut-album and already starting writing some tracks too. I will be in the studio again in a couple of weeks. I really can’t wait. I’m sure this album will be awesome. Hope you look forward to it. It will be packed with some surprises but I won’t tell you too much yet  ;-)

Therefore on to the “Awards” for December:

Butthead of the month – Even though I really like Sarah Connor and her music… what did we come to know lately? She’s divorcing her hubby Marc Terenzi. And that although the second season of “Sarah & Marc in Love” just finished days ago. Well, at the least now we know, that somtimes you babble a little longer for the promotion of an album and the singing-career of a little sister…

Self chuck of the month – Like I mentioned, our new years eve was great. Especially the fireworks at midnighte are a must each year. Sure I love the noise to chase away the evil spirits. Thinking about it now, maybe I should have done some dry-runs. I almost blew up my best friends front door with a very big firecracker. I wanted to through it onto the street, have no idea how it got so lost. All I know is now I remember why I hated our school sports youth games lol

Person of the month – Definitely Martin Schmitt. For sticking in there, the absolut belief in himself and hard work all those years. Things are looking up! I am sure the first victory after such a long time is just around the corner…
